This position is field based
Role is responsible for leading a team of Precision Oncology sales representatives and all account activity for select products within the Precision Oncology portfolio in the designated region, including Onco Detect (MRD), Onco Ex Tra , Risk Guard (Hereditary Cancer Testing), and Cancerguard (Multi-Cancer Early Detection Test). Primary focus areas include driving sales results, leadership, planning, project management, people development, and communication.
You will continually develop the skills of individuals within your team and ensure that your region achieves sales volume at or above the assigned region sales quota.
Field coverage:
Boston and New York markets, plus the majority of New Jersey, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
Essential DutiesInclude but are not limited to the following:
- Provide effective leadership and strategic direction to respective region ROLs to drive depth within each customer, sell in head-to-head environment, develop strategic business plans, be clinical experts as well as knowledgeable of competitive dynamics.
- Establish quality working relationships with key departments within Exact Sciences to fully understand and support our mission and goals.
- Provide feedback to Sales and Managed Care (contracting/pricing) and future product development strategies.
- Be well informed on scientific and applicable disease states, competition, and outside influences that impact our business; identify emerging opportunities that benefit our business.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and applicable legal standards and requirements.
- Participate and collaborate on cross-functional committees (e.g., Incentive Compensation, Marketing).
- Take initiative and provide feedback when addressing issues, opportunities, and challenges that pertain to corporate goal attainment.
- Develop meaningful and productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the respective region.
- Develop, present, and execute a comprehensive region business plan; implement, track, and adjust to meet revenue and budget targets.
- Identify ethical, innovative, customer-oriented ideas in response to changing markets.
- Participate and/or lead special sub-teams critical to success (strategy, Managed Care, contracting, pricing, business development, patient advocacy, competitive analysis, quality assurance, etc.).
- Supervise staff (organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, manage performance).
- Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them; motivate and inspire employees through coaching.
- Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Lead in hiring, training, counseling, coaching, and developing team members.
- Manage performance with honesty and integrity; support and develop the team; recognize and reward performance and provide support where needed.
- Mentor and develop ROLs for career advancement, leveraging individual strengths.
- Support budgets and cross-departmental projects with multiple simultaneous tasks to meet deadlines.
- Encourage open communication and solicit feedback on performance to ensure high-quality leadership through continuous learning.
- Communicate effectively to senior executives to raise awareness of key issues and provide information related to Sales and Access of products (e.g., Marketing and Billing/Reimbursement teams).

- Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
