Director of Administration

Rutgers University is hiring a Director of Administration for the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the New Jersey Medical School. The role involves leading the department's financial and operational management, implementing strategic plans, overseeing budget control, faculty recruitment, and enhancing clinical care quality and efficiency. The Director reports to the Chair and Associate Dean and may represent the department in institutional forums.

• Lead management, organizational, operational, and financial planning to support department objectives.
• Administer and direct all departmental functions including structure, finance, human resources, and operations.
• Develop financial policies, annual budgeting, financial strategies, internal reporting, and audit controls.
• Oversee faculty salary, performance, and incentive systems under institutional and state guidelines.
• Monitor clinical inpatient and outpatient care volume to improve quality and efficiency.
• Require a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Public Administration or related field;
  Master’s preferred.
• Require a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, including 3 years managerial and 5 years supervisory roles.
• Must possess excellent communication, organizational, negotiation skills and sound judgment in a unionized environment.
• Salary range: $116,617 to $191,480 annually; final offer depends on qualifications and funding availability.
• Position is full-time with a standard 37.5-hour workweek and a fully on-site work requirement.
