Dual Enrollment & Pre-College Pathways Program Manager
The Center for Pre College Programs administers precollege and pipeline programs designed to educate, inspire, and prepare students for success in secondary and post-secondary education while promoting a college-going culture.
Rutgers University – Newark, an urban public research anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Program Manager for the Dual Enrollment & Pre-College Pathways Program. Reporting to the Director/Associate Dean for the Center for Pre College Programs, this position functions at the Manager, Academic Programs Supervisor level, providing independent leadership, strategic direction, and full operational oversight of Rutgers–Newark's dual enrollment portfolio.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Serves as a key member of the Center for Pre College Programs leadership team and leads cross-functional collaboration with university leadership, academic units, school districts, government partners, and community stakeholders.
- Oversees advancing a comprehensive, equity-driven dual enrollment strategy that expands access, improves student success outcomes, and strengthens the college-going pipeline for students.
- Develops protocol and procedures, follows and enforces all university policies and procedures, and renders services that meet the academic, social, and/or special population needs of the enrolled scholars.
- Organizes, administers, and coordinates multiple facets of planning, preparation, evaluation, budget, communications, events, records, statistics, reports, and documents.
- Develops and coordinates year-round programming including but not limited to academic activities/workshops; and summer activities; including trips and staff recruitment.
- Serves as primary liaison with public, private & charter school districts, RU-N faculty,NCLC, and other partners.
- Oversees student success support & pre-college pathway experiences
- Manages evaluations of programs and services, assess service levels and program progress, prepare appropriate recommendations for fund development, and prepare and submit all required reports.
- Carries accountability for program strategy, policy development, partnership management, and resource allocation to meet institutional enrollment, access, and student success goals.
- Exercises significant independent judgment in program design, implementation, and evaluation, while leading a team of professional staff and student employees.
- Direct the design, scaling, and continuous improvement of dual enrollment and related initiatives

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in education, counseling, public administration, organizational management, social sciences, social work or related field.
Must have at minimum 2 years supervisory experience in program management, curriculum development with demonstrated experience in creative alternative programming.

Knowledge and experience working within the communities of Newark is highly preferred.
Requires a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in administrative function, student support, excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.
