Maintenance Mechanic

Pride Now is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to support a meat production facility in Newark, NJ. This role is ideal for a hands‑on mechanic with food manufacturing experience looking for stability and long‑term growth.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Support start‑ups, changeovers, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
• Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Support high‑pressure steam boiler operations

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred)
• Strong mechanical skills with conveyors, mixers, ovens, pumps, and motors
• Pneumatics and hydraulics experience required
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
• Must hold or be able to obtain a NJ Black Seal Boiler Operator License
