Maintenance Laborer

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Maintenance Laborer based out of our Newark Asphalt Plant to support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by OSHA safety standards in our East Region. This role is responsible for performing general labor tasks including shoveling, raking, and moving materials as needed. Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, raking and moving materials as needed
• Participate in routine maintenance, cleaning, washing of the facility and equipment
• Operate small equipment as needed such as a skid steer or manlift
• Comply with all industry safety rules, policies, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Perform daily workplace inspections and report deficiencies immediately to supervisor
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
