The Project Coordinator / Estimator is responsible for supporting project execution from quotation through production scheduling and completion. This role manages job costing, equipment pricing reviews, quote preparation, scheduling coordination, and workflow management between engineering, purchasing, and production teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare and review project cost estimates, job costing reports, and pricing calculations
  • Review equipment pricing, material costs, and supplier/vendor quotations
  • Generate customer quotes, proposals, and supporting project documentation
  • Coordinate project schedules based on customer due dates, engineering timelines, and production capacity
  • Organize and prioritize engineering and shop workloads to support efficient workflow and resource utilization
  • Monitor project progress and communicate scheduling updates, delays, and status changes to internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, production, and project management teams to support timely project execution
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, costing records, schedules, and workflow tracking information
  • Assist with identifying workflow bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support material planning, purchasing coordination, and production readiness activities as needed
  • Track project milestones and assist in maintaining on-time delivery performance
  • Ensure estimates and project information are accurately entered and maintained in ERP or project management systems
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This role includes, but is not limited to, the responsibilities listed above. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support team and business operations.

Qualification Requirements
  • Education
  • Experience in project coordination, estimating, manufacturing, production scheduling, or related industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of job costing, equipment pricing, and material cost analysis
  • Advanced:
    Ability to read and interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, and project specifications
  • Advanced:
    Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Advanced:
    Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and coordination abilities
  • Advanced:
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Advanced:
    Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Advanced:
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and workplace policies. Other Abilities
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or equipment fabrication industry experience
  • Familiarity with production planning, shop scheduling, and workflow coordination
  • Experience with ERP systems, MRP software, or project management platforms
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Understanding of fabrication, machining, or industrial production processes
  • Experience supporting engineering or operations teams in a production environment
