Hourly Range: $15 - $20

Duration: 12 Weeks

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) Storeroom team. This is a hands-on opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, or a related field to gain practical experience in inventory management, reliability operations, and CMMS data management within a real manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

The duties of the MRO Intern include but are not limited to:

Inventory Management

Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy

Update and maintain inventory records in eMaint X5 CMMS

Identify and help resolve inventory discrepancies

Storeroom Organization

Organize and maintain the physical storeroom layout for optimal workflow

Label bins, shelves, and storage locations using consistent naming conventions

Receive incoming materials, verify against purchase orders, and stock items correctly

Parts & Materials Support

Assist maintenance technicians with issuing parts and materials for work orders

Track outgoing parts and ensure proper documentation in the CMMS

Data Quality & Standardization

Help standardize part descriptions and naming conventions across the CMMS

Identify duplicate or incorrect part records and assist with cleanup

Improve overall data quality to support better inventory reporting

Reliability & Critical Spares Support

Support efforts to identify critical spare parts for key equipment

Assist in tracking part usage patterns to inform stocking decisions

Contribute to basic reliability initiatives as directed by the team

Safety & Housekeeping

Perform all work in accordance with plant safety standards and PPE requirements

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace at all times

About you

Currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
