Position: Welder And Fabricator*28/hr

1st shift MIG & TIG Welder/Fabricator $28/hr Direct Hire!

This role supports custom rebuild and repair projects for industrial equipment, with a strong focus on MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, and component modification to restore or improve equipment performance. You will work primarily in a shop environment, using your blueprint reading skills and fabrication expertise to complete non-repetitive, project-based work while contributing independently to a smaller, hands‑on team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on fabricated metal parts for custom rebuild and repair projects.
  • Fabricate and rebuild components for industrial machinery to restore or enhance performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication layouts to ensure accurate builds.
  • Cut, fit, and assemble metal parts according to specifications using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Repair worn or damaged components as part of equipment rebuild processes.
  • Maintain high quality standards and ensure proper weld integrity on all completed work.
  • Perform fit‑up, tacking, and weld preparation to support accurate and efficient fabrication.
  • Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
  • Use shop tools such as plasma cutters, torches, grinders, and saws safely and effectively.
  • Assist with general shop duties and fabrication projects as needed to support overall workflow.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in MIG welding in a production or custom fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in TIG welding, with experience in aluminum and stainless steel preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication layouts accurately.
  • Hands‑on experience fabricating metal components, including cutting, fitting, and grinding.
  • Strong fabrication skills working with metal parts and assemblies.
  • Ability to maintain weld quality and integrity in a variety of applications.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience repairing or rebuilding industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials.
  • Fit‑up, tacking, and weld preparation experience.
  • Experience using shop tools such as plasma cutters, torches, grinders, and saws.
  • Mechanical aptitude, particularly in a rebuild and repair environment.
  • Ability to inspect welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.

The work involves regular exposure to welding processes, cutting tools, grinders, and other shop equipment in a traditional industrial shop setting. The schedule follows a first shift, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential overtime depending on workload.

The pay range for this position is $56,000.00 – $58,000.00/yr.
