Job Description

A large consumer packaged goods manufacturing organization is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to oversee all operations at a high-volume manufacturing site. This role has full accountability for plant performance, including production, quality, safety, cost management, and people leadership across manufacturing and packaging operations.

As the senior leader on site, the Plant Manager will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and EHS partners to drive operational excellence while cultivating a transparent, collaborative, and results-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all site operations including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and staffing.
  • Set performance goals and manage direct reports across functional teams.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with HR to support workforce planning, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Manage operating costs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong technical background.
  • Prior Plant Manager or Production Manager experience is required.
  • Experience in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing and packaging environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee relations issues and partnering closely with HR.
