Machine Operator

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Machine Operator for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Newark, NJ. Details for the position are as follows:

• Payrate: $20/hr W2
• 3-month contract – possible extension based on performance & budget
• 2nd shift:
  Mon-Thurs; 5pm – 3am.
• The Point Operator is responsible for packing finished product on skids, performing quality checks, banding, installing side boards, stretch wrapping, and moving finished product to assigned area for shipping.
• They will operate a powered saw to cut wood to required lengths for custom skids and a pneumatic gun (staple/nail) to assemble skids.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred.

• Lifting 5 – 50 pounds repetitively.
• Standing demands of up to 9 hours per day. Bending at the waist.
• Ability to read tape measure, calipers.
• Forklift operations, including walk behind – training provided.
• Banding product on skids.
• Operating pneumatic gun (nail/staple).
• Operating power saw for skid assembly.
• Filling out required paperwork.
• Informing glue operator of product defects.
• Occasionally tying bales when baler is full.
• Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations/procedures.
