Packaging Supervisor
Key Responsibilities- Operate manual, semiautomatic and automatic packaging lines and powder presses, ensuring production meets quality and specification requirements.
- Perform line set‑up, product adjustment, light preventative maintenance, and communicate status to supervisors.
- Train Packaging Operator Trainees and new employees as needed, observing work and ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Assist packaging personnel and support department operations with focus on GMP sanitization, safety, housekeeping, and quality control.
- Attend required training programs to maintain L'Oréal standards, whether in‑house or off‑site.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements for quality, line efficiency, and housekeeping.
- Coordinate changeover of lines, including sanitization of parts, to establish GMP compliance.
- Manage movement, documentation, and supply of incoming components and bulk to packaging lines, as well as finished products to staging areas.
- Maintain production and inventory controls, including ordering, inventory recording, personnel management, and close‑out transactions.
- Perform all duties of a Packaging Operator and any additional tasks related to packaging as directed.
- Maintain continuous housekeeping and inform supervision of irregularities.
- Minimum 1 year of experience and knowledge of production/processing areas, machinery, and product items.
- Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
- Must wear all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds and performing repeated bending, lifting, and standing for long hours.
- Must be able to work off shifts, including overtime.
- High School education or GED equivalency preferred.
- Knowledge of and ability to work with all L'Oréal products, including current and promotional items.
- Competitive hourly pay range: $19.81 – $27.26 (variable by shift differential, location, experience, education, and skill).
