The Company is a rapidly expanding manufacturing organization in the flexible packaging and converting space. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by substantial capital investment across its facilities in New Jersey, Ohio, and Indiana.
The flagship facility alone employs over 300 individuals and operates a large-scale production environment featuring multiple high-value assets, including large-format printers, laminators, and packaging lines. The company has doubled its production capacity through new buildings and equipment, positioning itself as a major player in its industry.
Maintenance Technician Role SummarySupport safe, reliable operation of production equipment by performing mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment installation support, and corrective repairs across press, lamination, slitting, and auxiliary systems to minimize downtime and support production.
Key Responsibilities Production Equipment Support:- Provide mechanical troubleshooting and repair support for presses, lamination lines, slitting equipment, and auxiliary systems
- Maintain constant presence and response during production shifts to prevent downtime and backlog
- Assist with electrical troubleshooting while continuing skills development
- Perform inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement per schedule
- Identify repeat failures and communicate improvement recommendations
- Support installation, mechanical alignment, and commissioning of new equipment
- Participate in projects involving compressors, utilities, and facility systems
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately
- Coordinate with Production, Scheduling, and Maintenance leadership on equipment status
- Perform work in compliance with OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout procedures
- Maintain organized work areas and report unsafe conditions
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments
- Willingness to learn and develop electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with presses, lamination, or slitting equipment
- Exposure to preventive maintenance programs or CMMS systems
- Experience with compressors or plant utilities
