Ironbound Castings, a specialty bronze large-component casting facility primarily serving the US Navy and related industries., is currently seeking candidates like YOU for a role as Vertical Mill Machinist. Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Housekeeping

Milling top skills & proficiencies:

• Knowledge of CNC Vertical Milling
• Ability to Read Blueprints, Schematics and Manuals
• Analytical Skills using micrometers, calipers, gages
• Work from blueprints to identify component/manufacturing specifications
• Set-up and operate CNC Vertical Mills
• Select Proper feeds and speeds
• Ability to check parts to specifications using gauges and related measuring devices
• Ability to inspect parts and make adjustments according to blueprint specifications
• Perform basic troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments
• Rotate between various department work centers as required
• Ability to program using G&M Code

Job Qualifications:

• Five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing
• Working knowledge of equipment and tools
• Operate material handling equipment
• Able to read, write, and count in English
• Ability to lift 40lbs
