Join us in transforming literacy in Newark! We're launching a new Literacy Center in Newark in 2026 to tackle a critical challenge: 76% of Newark's 3rd graders are not reading at grade level. Our Center will provide tutoring, family programs, and community partnerships to change that statistic-and we need passionate Ameri Corps VISTA members to help make it happen. As a Literacy Leader with Ameri Corps VISTA, you'll play a key role in building the foundation for this transformative initiative.
