Overview

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, seeks a self‑motivated Regional Outreach Coordinator in Morris & Warren County. Reporting to the Director of Unhoused, the ROC will plan and implement initiatives to address and alleviate homelessness in rural and suburban areas of the region.

Highlights
  • Manage region by overseeing grant activities, monitoring performance, analyzing outcome data, and recommending program modifications as needed.
  • Supervise regional staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Lead outreach teams to locate unsheltered individuals, assessing needs for housing, healthcare, and mental‑health services.
  • Build partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and advocate for homelessness.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a mental‑health discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of service provisions for the homeless, and understanding of social, economic issues affecting low‑income communities.
  • Strong understanding of housing‑first principles and harm reduction.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work under pressure and manage crises.
  • Ability to communicate and relate to a diverse population in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven ability to engage and support individuals with mental‑health diagnoses using empathy, professionalism, and trauma‑informed practices.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Valid NJ driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Lived

    Experience:

    CSPNJ prioritizes hiring individuals who use personal experience with mental‑health diagnoses or substance use to inspire, support, and empower others.
Salary

$70,000.00
