Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, FT Nights

Department: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Location: 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ

Responsibilities- Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
- Ensure patient safety, ethical practice, and adherence to evidence-based standards; communicate with the patient care team and utilize available resources.
- Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members; collaborate with other health care providers.
- Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- Identify and report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Required: Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- NRP Certification within 90 days of hire
- PALS Certification within 90 days of hire
- NICU/PICU/Peds experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Graduate from an accredited NLN Nursing program
- Certifications as required (NRP, PALS, BLS as applicable)
- Shift: Night, 7p–7a
- Full Time: 36 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
- BSN
- Experience in NICU/PICU/Peds
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and maintains awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
