Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ . Pay Range: $47.85 - $64.04 per hour. Status:
Part-Time. Shift: Evening.

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• 2 years ED experience and/or other relevant nursing experience
• Med./Surg. Telemetry
• CEN

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• BLS upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of start date
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements
:

• Evening shift, 11a-11:30p - 24 hours per week
• Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and adheres to the ANA code of ethics.
• Maintains safety in practice and uses evidence-based practices; communicates with and utilizes resource persons to advance knowledge for the patient care team.
• Reports identified safety issues, such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualizes the plan of care for specific patients.
