Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's student health services client located in Newark, NJ
. This individual provides primary clinical care services, using a holistic framework, to our diverse and vibrant student body. The Nurse Practitioner should be able to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.

Schedule: Monday‑Friday 9a‑5p

Duration: 3/2 – 5/31 with possibility of extension

Pay: $65‑72/hr

• Direct patient care – mostly in‑person visits and some telehealth visits. The candidate must be comfortable triaging their own patients, handling occasional front‑desk duties such as answering phones and scheduling/checking in patients when short‑staffed, and providing gynecological, LGBT, and basic mental health care in addition to primary care. Their patient population is largely 18‑35 years old. Times may arise when they administer injections and vaccines and perform point‑of‑care testing and EKGs.
• Immunization compliance – ensuring all incoming students meet university vaccination requirements and addressing student questions via in‑person, phone, email or the immunization portal.
• Events/outreach – representing SHS and participating in outreach events to promote our services at Student Health.

• Current NP certification in the state of NJ
• Current BLS certification
• 1+ year experience with primary care or related practice
