Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with required rotating weekend on-call coverage
TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Director of Nursing (RN) in Newark, NJ for our client, leading nursing operations across multiple clinical sites. This leadership role oversees clinical quality, risk management, infection control, and staff performance while ensuring full regulatory compliance. You will guide nursing teams, manage clinical policies, and partner with medical and operational leadership to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilitiesas the Director of Nursing (RN):
- Nursing Leadership & Staff Management: Recruit, supervise, and develop nursing and clinical staff to ensure appropriate staffing, performance, and clinical competency.
- Quality Assurance &
Risk Management:
Lead nursing quality initiatives, chair the Risk Management Committee, and oversee incident review, investigations, and corrective action plans. - Infection Control & Safety: Chair the Infection Control Committee and ensure compliance with infection prevention, workplace safety, and quality improvement standards.
- Clinical Policy & Compliance: Develop and enforce clinical policies and protocols related to patient care, utilization management, and regulatory compliance.
- Operational Oversight & Reporting: Monitor departmental performance metrics, manage scheduling and resources, and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory review.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, with advanced education preferred.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey required.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or supervisory roles within clinical or ambulatory settings.
- Technical
Skills:
Working knowledge of electronic health record systems, with eClinical
Works (eCW) experience strongly preferred. - Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of clinical operations, quality assurance, risk management, infection control, utilization management, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Leadership & Attributes: Confident, organized leader with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex clinical operations and on-call responsibilities.
