Position Overview
We're hiring a compassionate, clinically strong Registered Nurse (RN) to support an Adolescent Behavioral Health unit serving patients with psychiatric disorders as well as rehab/addiction and substance use treatment needs
. This role delivers safe, individualized, evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Deliver evidence-based nursing care aligned with current standards, policies, and best practices
Complete nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and escalates changes in condition appropriately
Administer medications and treatments safely per provider orders and organizational policy
Support a safe therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed
Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
Provide patient/family education as appropriate and reinforce treatment goals
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and within required time frames
Required QualificationsActive New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License
AHA BLS/CPR certification (required within 60 days of hire)
BSN in progress and/or willingness to obtain within three (3) years of hire
Six (6)+ months of relevant nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in adolescent psych
, behavioral health
, substance use treatment
, rehab
, or acute/inpatient psychiatric settings
Strong therapeutic communication skills and ability to remain calm in high-acuity situations
This Position has 2 openings, both of which are part time.
Days - 6:45 am - 3:15 pm (12 hours per week)
AND
Evenings - 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm (16 hours per week)
