Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.01 Hourly
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to clients as directed by a licensed nurse and physician orders
- Accurately document medication administration in the MAR (Medication Administration Record)
- Monitor clients for medication side effects, adverse reactions, or changes in condition and report to nursing staff immediately
- Maintain proper storage, security, and inventory of medications, including controlled substances
- Assist with medication counts at shift changes in accordance with facility policy
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including NJ Department of Health guidelines
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding client status and medication-related concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medication room/cart
- Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality (HIPAA) standards at all times
- Support clients in understanding their medications as directed by nursing staff
