Job Overview

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • ASN or Nursing Diploma
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Proficient computer skills
  • Preferred:
    • 2 years ED experience and/or other relevant nursing experience
    • Med./Surg. Telemetry or PEDS ER experience
    • CEN certification
Certifications and Licenses Required
  • BLS upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of start date
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling Requirements
  • Night shift, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m. – 36 hours per week
  • Monday–Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
Essential Functions
  • The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • The Registered Nurse ensures safety in practice and incorporates evidence‑based practice principles, maintaining and expanding professional knowledge and communicating with resource persons and programs.
  • The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
  • The Registered Nurse is knowledgeable about the patient population served.
  • The Registered Nurse supervises and delegates tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
  • The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
  • The Registered Nurse individualizes the plan of care to address specific patient needs, utilizing the nursing process and interdisciplinary team management.
