• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Supervises, teaches, and delegates to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Formulates an individualized plan of care, revises the plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, provider, patient and family following the chain of command.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient, protecting the patient’s rights.

• Education
  :
  Associate's degree Required;
  Bachelor's degree Preferred.
• License
  :
  Current RN to practice in the state of KY; BCLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Certifications
  : BCLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
