Job Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery, Full‑time, Evening Shift. Facility:
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ .

Hourly rate: $49.28–$66.05.

• Provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Assures safety in practice using evidence‑based principles and continually advances knowledge through communication and resource utilization.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient‑care providers.
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Acts as an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to individualize plans of care for specific patient needs.

• ASN or nursing diploma.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

• BSN.
• Minimum two years of hospital experience.

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

• Evening shift, 37.5 hours.
• Full time.
• Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation.
