NP/PA (Regenerative Pain Management and Wellness) Opportunity in New Jersey - Suburban New York City

The NP/PA will work collaboratively to assist the Physician in providing care to patients who present to the regenerative pain office with acute or chronic pain and/or functional medicine visits. The NP/PA will review the patient’s medical history, order labs, radiographic and other diagnostic tests, perform follow-up care, and conduct consults. The NP/PA will also be responsible for the management and oversight of office and surgical patients, and for determining eligibility for Vitamin IV infusions as well as assisting in running the infusion program.

The NP/PA will serve as a portal of entry for all new patients, screening and processing them. Applicants must be energetic, positive people-people, able to combine clinical skills with genuine concern and empathy for patients.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Conduct new patient assessments and H&Ps, including comprehensive MSK exams in-office.
  • Support physicians with scheduling, prior authorizations, and maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Document items such as chief complaint, applicable diagnoses, past medical, family and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment, and plans.
  • Prescribe medications, order tests, and follow up with tests as required.
  • Assist in OR surgical procedures (suturing, paperwork, IV, etc.).
  • Administer IV infusions.
  • Clinically assess patients, take vitals, and chart in EHR.
  • Provide education to patients regarding pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain management regimens.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and/or post-procedure calls to ensure patient safety and address questions or concerns.
  • Develop and oversee patient and office policies and procedures to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care.
  • Collaborate with providers to create treatment plans based on patients’ clinical needs.
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and appropriate ancillary services.
  • Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice.
  • Measure and report patient quality outcomes daily, performing effectively as reflected by improvement.
  • Facilitate closing gaps in care by educating patients about Pain Mgmt & Wellness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Active and unrestricted NJ Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner/PA license.
  • Board certified by ANCC or AANP.
  • Current and unrestricted DEA & CDS license.
  • BLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification.
  • Minimum two years of acute and chronic pain management experience, including pain disorders, diagnostic tests, procedures, and medications.
  • Regenerative medicine and IV experience a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.
  • Access to transportation, a valid driver’s license, and car insurance.
  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required by the work.
  • Knowledge of EHR and Google Spreadsheets, as well as medical records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, family members, physicians, and community partners.
  • Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Bilingual in Spanish helpful.
  • Experience conducting MSK/Pain Mgmt visits.
