Registered Nurse assigned to the Radiology department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center performs nursing care that supports imaging services and patient care.

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the healthcare system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence‑based practice by maintaining a realization of her own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of herself and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available.
• The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (e.g., damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
• The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
• The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
• The Registered Nurse is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs.

• Day Shift 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
• Full Time
• On‑Call

Required:

• ADN
• 3–5 years of Critical Care experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred:

• BSN
• Interventional radiology: 2 years of experience
• Critical care experience

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• BLS from the American Heart Association
• ACLS
