American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment requiring NJ or Compact RN license and prior medical oncology experience.

• Adult medical oncology unit treating GI, GU, breast, head and neck, neuro, thoracic, lymphoma, and leukemia cases
• GYN oncology and classic hematology patients including sickle cell, anemia, factor 8, and ITP
• Performs bone marrow biopsies in clinic and GYN oncology procedures including paps, biopsies, colposcopy, and pelvic exams
• Day shift schedule, 5x7.5 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 37.5 hours per week
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Floating required within skillset with ratios based on patient acuity and census

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in accessing and managing central lines and ports, including central line blood draws
• Experience administering Neupogen and hormonal therapy required
• Colostomy care experience required
• References required at time of consideration

• Provide direct patient care for adult medical oncology, GYN oncology, and hematology patients
• Perform port access, central line care, and administer specialized oncology medications
• Manage oncologic emergencies and provide psychosocial support including patient/family education
• Assist with symptom management for treatment side effects such as nausea, neuropathy, and mucositis
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have a minimum 1-year break before returning for travel assignments
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
