Director of Nursing RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing RN to join our team. As a leader in the healthcare industry, our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our patients. The Director of Nursing RN will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care assignments

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational goals

  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, including education, training, and mentoring

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as medical records, social services, and activities, to ensure seamless patient care

  • Conduct quality assessment and improvement activities, including peer review and quality improvement initiatives

  • Develop and manage budgets for the nursing department, ensuring efficient use of resources

  • Foster a culture of safety, respect, and care within the facility, promoting a positive work environment and high employee morale

  • Serve as a role model and advocate for patients, families, and employees, upholding the organization's mission and values

Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of NJ

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing or equivalent role

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions
