Position: Registered Nurse – Oncology

$2213.40/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to adult oncology and hematology patients within a clinic setting, managing a broad range of medical conditions including GI, GU, breast, neuro, and hematologic disorders. Deliver comprehensive clinical procedures and patient education to optimize treatment and recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, and supportive treatments such as neupogen and blood draws via port access and central lines.
  • Perform clinical procedures including bone marrow biopsies, pelvic exams, Pap smears, colposcopies, and colostomy care.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to therapy; document findings accurately in Epic.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and certification standards, including BLS and relevant licensure.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NJ or Compact State Nursing License active at time of submission.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in adult medical oncology, hematology, or GYN oncology.
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required.
  • Certification in BLS; additional oncology-specific certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform clinical procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and port access.
  • Ability to float within skillset and adhere to staffing protocols and ratios.
