Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to neonatal infants within a Level III NICU setting. Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and family support.
Responsibilities:
- Administer blood products, start and maintain IV lines, and manage medication administration including anti-seizure drugs, antibiotics, antivirals, and steroids.
- Monitor cardiovascular status using telemetry, operate ventilators and respiratory support equipment, and manage oxygen delivery systems for ventilated or intubated neonates.
- Support breastfeeding, perform colostomy and ileostomy care, conduct enteral feedings, and manage glucose monitoring along with insulin administration.
- Implement developmental care strategies, educate patients and families, follow infection control protocols, and uphold isolation precautions.
- Document patient progress using EPIC, maintain accurate Crib Notes, and comply with charting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of NICU Level III experience, including caring for neonates 29-34 weeks and >34 weeks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in neonatal blood products, IV management, medication dosing, and respiratory support techniques.
- Be certified in BLS and NRP.
- Exhibit confidence in managing telemetry, ventilators, and complex neonatal care.
