Registered Nurse – CVOR

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular and transplant procedures, supporting complex surgical cases with advanced technology.

Responsibilities:

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries in the CVOR.
• Circulate and assist during complex procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, aortic repairs, and transplant surgeries.
• Monitor patient status closely, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate surgical workflows and patient care plans.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in the EPIC system and adhere to charting protocols.
• Maintain readiness for on-call shifts and weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact nursing license at time of submission.
• Possess at least 2.5 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular surgical settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting systems.
• Have previous experience circulating in CVOR and transplant cases, with transplant experience highly preferred.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations, holidays, and weekends.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
