Role Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New Jersey, United States. This role oversees quality systems within the facility, ensuring that all products meet company standards and applicable regulatory and food safety requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing quality control procedures, monitoring production processes, conducting internal audits, reviewing test results, and investigating nonconformances. The Quality Assurance Manager will develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), coordinate corrective and preventive actions, and train team members on quality and safety practices.

The role collaborates closely with operations, production, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement and uphold consistent product quality.

Qualifications
  • Experience in quality assurance or quality control within food manufacturing or a related industry, with a strong understanding of food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., USDA, FDA, HACCP, SQF or equivalent).
  • Skills in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems, including SOPs, inspection protocols, and documentation practices.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret test results, identify trends, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage audits, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to train and coach staff on quality and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency with standard office and data management tools (e.g., spreadsheets, quality management software, or ERP systems).
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
