  • Perform core behavioral assays such as von Frey mechanical allodynia, hot plate thermal hyperalgesia, acetone‑evoked cold allodynia, marble burying, and locomotor activity assessments.
  • Carry out dose‑response analyses, time‑course studies, and comparisons with clinically relevant analgesics.
  • Execute experimental work using mouse and human brain material, cultured cells, high‑resolution fluorescence imaging, biochemical, and molecular biology approaches.
  • Maintain experimental equipment, write IACUC protocols, and keep accurate data notebooks in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Analyze and interpret data, prepare reports, and contribute to the intellectual development of the project.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong background in neurobehavioral approaches for pain‑related behavioral testing and tissue isolation in mouse brain and spinal cord.
  • Ability to perform essential duties independently.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated record of achievements and publications.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.
