Overview
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Associate II in the Department of Medicine within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). The Research Associate II reports to a faculty member and is responsible for conducting highly specialized and technical research projects that support clinical and academic investigations.
Responsibilities- Performs various research and clinical technical operations for ongoing laboratory investigations, including independent and assigned specialized research for specific projects.
- Participates in the development of performance standards, selection of methodology and instrumentation, and coordination of analytical, biochemical, physiological and instrumentation functions with clinical and research areas to ensure alignment with departmental goals.
- Assists in continuous research and development of laboratory analytical and instrumentation functions, evaluates existing procedures, suggests revisions, and proposes new procedures under supervision.
- Assists in implementation of programs and projects in special areas of interest to the department as requested.
- Understands and adheres to compliance standards outlined in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Ph.
D. Degree or equivalent advanced degree (such as MD) in a relevant science, or a Master’s Degree in a relevant science plus at least 3 years of related research experience.
Grade: 23S
Salary Range:
Minimum $65,272.00 – Maximum $92,772.00
