Posting Summary
- Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V in the Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics with the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Laboratory Manager, Research Teaching Specialist V, performs research activities. Performs work requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
As directed, performs various research and technical operations relative to the ongoing investigatory activities of the laboratory. Participates in the evaluation of existing procedures suggesting revisions where necessary, and proposing new procedures where required. Assists with training fellows, medical students and lab technicians in laboratory techniques as directed. Responsible for submitting purchase recommendations to his/her supervisor. Ensures that laboratory equipment is maintained in good working orders.
Keeps detailed records of procedures and experiments.
