Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Health within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). To evaluate the genomic stability of oocytes and somatic cells exposed to CK2II in combination with cyclophosphamide. This study will perform a comprehensive assessment of DNA damage, including mutation rates, DNA methylation patterns, and histone modifications, to determine the safety of CK2II as a potential fertility preservation agent.
De novo mutations will be analyzed in both oocytes and somatic cells, while genome-wide DNA methylation and histone modification profiles will be examined to assess epigenetic integrity.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Maintain and manage mouse colonies, including breeding, tissue collection, and record-keeping. Perform whole-genome sequencing (WGS) and validation analyses. Conduct genome-wide DNA methylation profiling. Isolate RNA from oocytes and somatic cells. Conduct tissue sectioning (cryostat and paraffin embedding) and histological staining.
