Shop Rite - Assistant Liquor Store Manager Salary Range $50,000-$65,000/yr

As part of a family run business, Managers with Shop Rite Wines & Spirits are part of a growing organization. All locations are in Northwest New Jersey.

Our locations are in the following areas:

  • Netcong, NJ (Morris County)
  • Byram, NJ (Sussex County)
  • Newton, NJ (Sussex County)
  • Hackettstown, NJ (Warren County)
  • Succasunna, NJ (Morris County)
  • Sparta, NJ (Sussex County)
  • Franklin, NJ (Sussex County)

Candidates must be available to work in any location.

A successful candidate will have experience leading teams of up to 25 associates, understand customer engagement, coaching and leading a team and has an aptitude for understanding the financial aspects and operations of running a retail liquor business.

A retail liquor manager will be required to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends and some holidays.

Job requirements but not limited to:

  • Managing inventory, labor, facilities and expenses
  • Maintaining in-stock position, ordering and cleanliness
  • Creating and maintaining effective and profitable relationships with vendors
  • Providing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Selection, training and coaching of staff
  • Compliance of all legal guidelines and regulations
  • Ability to drive sales and gross profit
  • Maintaining general safety, food safety and building sanitation and safety
  • Proper check-in and reconciliation of vendor billing for accuracy, addressing any discrepancies
  • Strong knowledge of liquor, wine and beer
