Job Purpose and Summary
The Asset Protection Coordinator (APC) improves the retail customer experience and mitigates company losses to external theft in assigned store. The APC monitors store activity, communicates with store management, and supports loss prevention and operational strategies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Provides attentive, friendly customer service; greets customers, answers questions, and assists with opening and securing locked shelves and showcases per customer requests.
- Monitors assigned store(s) for activity that causes loss of CVS Pharmacy assets/products.
- Communicates with Store Management about observations and seeks guidance if theft is suspected.
- Inspects high-risk product categories regularly to detect and deter theft activity.
- Ensures use of approved asset/product protection equipment and the security labeling program.
- Prepares External Theft reports in Auror system as incidents occur and monitors feeds to share intelligence on repeat offenders with key stakeholders.
- Work a flexible schedule that will include nights and weekends.
- 60% Provide customer service to prevent theft and reduce friction caused by product protection by unlocking and securing devices as needed.
- 30% External Theft Reporting and review potential links of habitual offenders in Auror System; proactive intelligence sharing with DAPL, ORC Team, and Store Manager.
- 10% Monitor store compliance with AP related programs that prevent external theft, take corrective action, and report findings to DAPL and Store Leadership.
- Physical abilities to stand, move throughout the store, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach or grasp objects.
- Manual dexterity to apply security tags and use keys to open locks.
- Excellent observational skills and ability to recall and describe detailed facts.
- Good visual and auditory acuity for reading small print and monitoring activity.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to prepare and submit external theft reports.
- Work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
- 1 to 3 years of experience (Preferred).
Full time. Weekly hours: 40. Pay Range: $17.92 – $26.92 per hour, based on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
