CNS Worldwide is conducting a search on behalf of a leading company specialized in Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) instrumentation.
Our client is an internationally recognized provider of advanced analytical solutions serving academic, governmental, and industrial research laboratories. To support continued growth in the United States, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Manager to drive strategic business development and revenue expansion across the territory.
The RoleReporting to senior leadership, the Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for the U.S. market. This is a high-impact role requiring both strong technical expertise in X-ray scattering technologies and proven success in capital equipment sales.
The position offers significant autonomy and direct influence on market growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for SAXS systems across the U.S.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in academia, national laboratories, biotech, pharma, materials science, and industrial R&D.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with principal investigators, lab directors, and procurement stakeholders.
- Deliver high-level technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with application and technical support teams to provide tailored solutions.
- Represent the company at key scientific conferences and industry events.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and market intelligence.
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD preferred) in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience selling scientific capital equipment in the U.S.
- Strong knowledge of SAXS, WAXS, X-ray diffraction, or related analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated track record of closing high-value instrumentation deals.
- Established network within U.S. research institutions and/or industrial R&D environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinker, and strong communicator.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the United States.
