Optify Search are currently partnered with a leading Importer/exporter and distributor of specialty chemicals in North America.
About the RoleWe are seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team in the Tri-State Area. This is a high-impact, high-reward role for a proven sales “hunter” with a successful track record in securing new business within the distributor network, specifically selling CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) chemicals.
Responsibilities- Proactively identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities within the distributor channel
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on CASE chemicals
- Develop account strategies and sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings
- Regularly update and manage prospects and sales activity in CRM systems
- Deliver technical presentations and product information to customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an excellent customer experience
- 5-10+ years of outside sales experience in a distributor company or in selling through distribution channels
- Demonstrated background in selling CASE chemicals (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers), experience with pigments preferred
- Proven “hunter” mentality with a track record of successfully developing and closing new business
- Comfortable and proficient with CRM tools
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Must be based in, or able to cover, the Tri-State Area
