A long time,privately held company that is the leading US industry manufacturer of components used by OEM's in the medical device industry is looking for a Vice President of Sales. This VP of Sales position is for a contract manufacturing business that produces products forOEM customers that specialize in development, sales and services of orthopedicsurgical implants.
The position needs to focus on developing new business andnew customers while equally maintaining good relations with existing customers. Candidate must live in oraround the Northern NJ area. Relocation assistance is available.
Some other responsibilities include:
* Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales goals
* Createa culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
* Managethe sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth
* Managethe use of budgets
* Defineoptimal sales force structure
* Hireand develop sales staff
* Defineand oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate thesales team to achieve their sales targets
* Defineand coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
* Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
* Definesales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvementswhere and when required
* Putin place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the salesfunction
* Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
* Work closely with marketing contractors to develop clear and competitive messages
* Managekey customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
* Travelfor in-person meetings with customers and to develop key relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelors degree.
* Experience in the contract manufacturing arena
* Experience in the medical device arena
* Experience in management/leadership roles
