IT Staffing Business Development Manager

Central NJ is preferred but open to NYC Metro / NJ / PA.

We are seeking a highly driven Business Development Manager to grow our IT staffing business through a combination of new client acquisition (hunter) and account expansion (farmer). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, sales‑driven environment and has a strong track record of building relationships and delivering staffing solutions across technology organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive new business development by identifying, targeting, and securing new client relationships
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities across IT staffing and consulting services
  • Develop and grow existing client accounts through upselling and cross‑selling
  • Partner closely with recruiting teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction
  • Conduct client meetings (virtual and in‑person) to understand hiring needs and position solutions
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with clients
  • Stay informed on market trends, hiring demand, and competitor activity
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and activity targets
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT staffing or technical recruiting sales
  • Proven track record of new logo acquisition (hunter) and account growth (farmer)
  • Strong network within technology, engineering, or data‑driven organizations
  • Experience selling contract staffing, contract‑to‑hire, and direct hire solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in the NYC Metro / NJ / PA market preferred, but open to other robust markets
  • Background selling into industries such as fintech, SaaS, healthcare, or enterprise technology
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Hub Spot, etc)
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and results‑driven mindset
