Job Summary
Kiva Confections seeks an Account Executive (AE) located near Newark, New Jersey. As the primary point of contact for designated key accounts, the AE will manage and grow relationships, achieve revenue targets, develop and execute collaborative programs with retail partners, build relationships, and identify and close new business opportunities within the assigned territory. The role reports directly to the Senior Sales Manager.
Responsibilities- Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets by managing and expanding sales within existing accounts and prospecting for new business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with Kiva Trade Marketing Managers and retail partners to design and implement sales‑driving activities such as promotional programs, incentives, displays, product launches, and brand training.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive decision‑making, strategy development, and performance measurement.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned market.
- Contribute to company‑assigned KPIs related to field activities, sales, distribution, and brand awareness.
- Maintain accurate retailer contact information, log interactions and activities, and manage follow‑up tasks within Salesforce.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing key account relationships with a proven revenue track record.
- Experience in CPG, spirits/wine/beer, and/or cannabis highly preferred.
- Strong integrity, interpersonal skills, sense of urgency, and strategic, approachable style.
- Ability to problem‑solve, maintain a solution‑oriented attitude, and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent customer service, organization, attention to detail, and knowledge of competitive trends.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office; experience with distribution ERP is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
- Passion for the cannabis industry.
$65,500 - $80,000 per year plus quarterly bonus. Compensation considers internal pay parity, relevant experience, skills, and geographic location.
