Position SummaryThe Sales Executive will thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and play a critical role in achieving company growth and revenue goals. This individual is responsible for prospecting, developing relationships, and closing new business while delivering a consultative sales experience to brokers, consultants, and employer groups. This person must be comfortable making or taking dozens of calls daily, developing partner channels, presenting in front of a group of people, generating and qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
MajorResponsibilities
- Broker distribution and development
- Ability to present and sell to consultants or employer groups of any size
- Interpret, qualify, and professionally respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP’s)
- Maintain updated and accurate pipeline tracking and activity in CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
- Ability to cold call prospects and brokers
- Ability to present solutions via virtual and in-person meetings
- Effectively leverage company-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, as part of daily workflows and performance expectations to improve efficiency, organization, communication, and overall productivity
- Consultative approach in all aspects of wellbeing
- Become an expert in all ancillary wellness services offered and provide strategic direction for prospects and current clients
- Generate new leads via broker and direct to end‑user sales channels
- Build and sustain positive relationships with the entire Wellness IQ staff
- Interact with staff, management, and vendors to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Frequent travel essential, including overnight, multi‑day, and out‑of‑state travel for broker meetings, client meetings, conferences, trainings, and other business needs
- College Degree Preferred
- 3+ years of Sales, Employee Benefits, or related experience, or any combination of education, experience, and training that provides knowledge and abilities to perform the job
- Comfort with cold calling and objection handling
- Passion for Health and Wellness
- Insurance brokerage experience specifically in employee benefits preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Consultative selling approach with ability to uncover client needs
- High level of motivation, resilience, and competitiveness
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a pipeline
- Relationship-building with both internal teams and external partners
- Comfort with cold outreach and objection handling
- Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
- Ability to respond professionally and accurately to requests received from a variety of clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Salesforce CRM experience preferred
- Proficiency in Teams, Zoom, or other virtual presentation tools

- Salary – The salary range for this position is location-dependent and aligned with local market benchmarks and cost-of-living considerations.
- Variable compensation – Commission
Travel may be required up to 50% of the time and may vary based on business priorities, sales opportunities, client needs, and territory demands. Employees must maintain flexibility and availability for required travel, including occasional short‑notice travel and on‑site attendance as needed. Wellness IQ will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of travel requirements whenever practicable, though advance notice may not always be possible.
