As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing strategic business development initiatives, supporting partners with client growth opportunities, and helping to raise the firm's profile in an increasingly competitive legal market.
This role offers a broad mix of strategic and hands‑on responsibilities, providing significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to make a tangible commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute business development and marketing plans aligned with practice group objectives.
- Partner closely with attorneys to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Lead the preparation of pitches, proposals and RFP responses.
- Produce client research, competitive intelligence and market analysis.
- Support client targeting and relationship development initiatives.
- Coordinate legal directory and award submissions.
- Develop impactful marketing collateral and presentations.
- Leverage CRM systems and BD reporting to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices to deliver best‑in‑class business development support.
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- 5+ years' Business Development or Marketing experience within a law firm.
- Experience working directly with partners and senior stakeholders.
- Strong proposal, pitch and client development experience.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Outstanding communication, writing and relationship‑building skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience using CRM systems and business development reporting tools is advantageous.
