Job Summary
L’Occitane is looking for a Sales & Education Account Executive to play a key role in accelerating our growing business within Sephora US. The role focuses on delivering brand messaging, product benefits, training, store events and sales support across Sephora US locations.
Job Responsibilities- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Drive brand retail sales and execute strategies to meet or exceed sales plans.
- Plan and execute retailer events, sales and training visits to increase brand awareness.
- Plan and execute in‑store events to achieve sales targets and strong ROI.
- Evaluate retail trends to inform resource allocation.
- Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with Sephora store management, regional/district managers, event managers, education managers and retail store associates.
- Build relationships with Sephora key retail leadership to create business opportunities and brand support.
- Accountable for visual merchandising execution in-store and in‑stock position, communicating needs to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Freelance Management
- Lead with empathy and accountability, managing resources for ROI and schedule optimisation.
- Recruit, hire, inspire, schedule, develop and retain productive freelance team members, achieving sales per hour and items per transaction goals.
- Training & Events
- Provide ongoing product training for Sephora accounts within assigned territory.
- Assist with higher‑level training and events to reach sales goals.
- Conduct training for new store openings, in person or virtually.
- Assist with corporate events within the region.
- Maintain high product and ingredient knowledge.
- Operational & Administrative Management
- Ensure Sephora locations support marketing campaigns through customer interactions, training and visual direction.
- Manage regional call cycle for in‑store visits and virtual outreach.
- Plan and manage budgets (e.g., T&E, freelance) in partnership with the Sales Director.
- Perform other duties as requested by management from time to time.
- Work an 8‑hour day, split between commute, administration and store visits. 5 days a week, minimum 6 hours in‑store per day. One office day per month for administration. Typical work week is Tuesday through Saturday.
- Deliver best‑in‑class shopper experience to attract and retain customers.
- Meet all deadlines for requests including calendar, call cycle, expenses and event recaps while adhering to Sephora policies.
- Provide competitive feedback to the Sales Director.
- Strengthen brand identity through visual merchandising consistency, inventory and operational standards compliance.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior skincare or cosmetic sales experience (2–5 years preferred) or equivalent retail sales.
- Prior Sephora retail experience.
- Ability to plan and manage budgets (e.g., freelance, sampling, event, and T&E budgets).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to provide best‑in‑class customer experience.
- Ability to work with all levels of management in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, changing environment.
- Full and valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel within the US; amount depends on territory.
- Ability to stand for four hours or more.
