Inside Sales Coordinator

Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the commercial sales team by assisting and developing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, maintaining existing accounts, and coordinating freight solutions for international ocean transportation.

This role serves as a key liaison between customers, outside sales representatives, operations, pricing, customer service, and trade management to ensure seamless service delivery and revenue growth. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication analytical and organization skills with knowledge of international shipping, container logistics, and supply chain operatins.

• Support Outside Sales Representatives in developing and maintaining customer accounts.
• Conduct Telephone and follow-up activities with prospective and existing customers.
• Qualify customer shipping requirements and recommend appropriate ocean transportation solutions.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to strengthen relationships and increase shipment volumes.
• Coordinate customer onboarding and account implementation.

• Prepare competitive freight quotations for import and export shipments.
• Coordinate with Pricing and Trade Management teams to obtain contract and spot rates.
• Negotiate rates within established company guidelines.
• Monitor quote activity and follow up to maximize quote conversion.
• Maintain pricing records and customer rate agreements.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Resolve customer inquiries regarding rates, service contracts, transit times, sailing schedules, equipment availability, documentation, and service disruptions.
• Build long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, data analysis).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
• Computer literate with ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple software similtaneously.
• Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment while managing multiple systems and databases.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
