Temporary Research Assistant (Logistics)
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Medicine
- Infectious Diseases within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). Under the direction of the Director Research Operations, and the Programmer Analyst, the Temporary Research Assistant is responsible for overseeing and facilitating clinical supply logistics for the DOMC group.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Works with international sites in shipment coordination, import/export documentation, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities during protocol conduct. Works with investigators, and study coordinators in coordination and set-up of shipments for specific clinical, translational and basic science protocols. Work with study coordinators to develop appropriate and detailed standard operating procedures, training manuals and other materials for shipment coordination and supply management in the clinic, field and laboratory.
Reviews shipping documents for accuracy and completion, from the field sites. Maintains shipment tracking databases as per operating procedures and under guidance of database programmer and study coordinator(s). Works with import companies to facilitate US Customs clearance and delivery to Rutgers laboratories and assist with or other study related tasks as needed and directed.

Mid Range Salary - $75.00
Maximum Salary - $150.00

- Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and may be eligible for a compressed workweek or a flex workday schedule. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or discontinuation, and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the Flex Work@RU Application System.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in a related field. Plus, 1 year of relevant supply management experience, preferably within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
