Safety Officer

Job Type: Part-Time

Location: 47 Edison Pl, Newark, New Jersey, 07108

As a Safety Officer at City Night-Life Entertainment Corp, you will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety standards throughout the venue to ensure the well-being of guests, employees, and property. You will conduct routine inspections, assist in risk assessments, and support emergency response efforts to maintain a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Monitor adherence to alcohol service laws and venue safety policies
• Assist in implementing safety procedures and emergency response plans
• Report and document safety incidents, hazards, and near-misses promptly and accurately
• Collaborate with security personnel and management to address safety concerns
• Provide safety information and guidance to staff and patrons as needed
• Participate in safety training sessions and help promote a culture of safety awareness
• Assist in crowd control and occupancy monitoring during events
• Stay updated on relevant health and safety regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a safety or security role, preferably within hospitality, nightlife, or entertainment industries
• Solid understanding of safety regulations, emergency procedures, and risk management
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests
• Calm and decisive under pressure, especially in emergency situations
• Basic knowledge of alcohol service laws and crowd management techniques
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR) are a plus
