As a Security Officer Admission Control Officer in Newark, NJ
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with routine patrols, and deliver a welcoming presence for employees and visitors.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Mon: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Fri: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Sat: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Sun: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential checks, and/or security-related response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers, helping to deter unauthorized access while following established post orders and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, trailer yards, loading areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Assist with screening processes, package and vehicle access verification, and inbound and outbound traffic coordination to support orderly site operations and security-related procedures.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
